Morning Startup – 6:30 AM
The day begins early as I check my service schedule on the tablet. Tampa’s weather is already promising to hit the high 80s, which means our air conditioning services will be in high demand today.
First Call – 8:00 AM
My first stop is in Carrollwood, where a homeowner reported their AC isn’t cooling properly. After a thorough inspection, I discover the issue is a clogged air filter and low refrigerant levels. It’s a common problem in Florida’s humid climate, and I’m glad to help educate the customer about regular maintenance.
Mid-Morning – 10:30 AM
Heading to Westchase for a scheduled maintenance check. These preventative service calls are crucial for keeping systems running efficiently. I clean the condensers, check electrical connections, and ensure everything’s operating at peak performance.
Lunch Break – 12:15 PM
A quick lunch in Lutz before tackling the afternoon calls. I use this time to review upcoming appointments and order necessary parts for tomorrow’s jobs.
Afternoon Rush – 1:30 PM
The heat of the day brings emergency calls from Wesley Chapel to Town ‘n’ Country. Our team prioritizes urgent situations, especially for homes with elderly residents or small children.
Key Tasks Throughout the Day:
- System diagnostics and repairs
- Preventative maintenance
- Customer education
- Equipment upgrades
- Emergency service calls
Wrapping Up – 5:00 PM
Before heading back to base, I ensure all paperwork is complete and tomorrow’s schedule is confirmed. It’s satisfying knowing we’ve helped keep Tampa Bay residents comfortable through another Florida day.
Working in HVAC requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to customer service. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our community stay comfortable, no matter what weather Florida throws our way.
