Morning Preparations
The day starts early at Magtek Mechanical, well before most of our New Lenox neighbors have had their first cup of coffee. As a service technician, I arrive at our facility at 6:30 AM to review the day’s heating and cooling service appointments.
First Calls of the Day
By 7:30 AM, I’m on the road heading to our first service call. Winter in Illinois doesn’t mess around, and today’s schedule is packed with heating system maintenance and repairs. Each home presents its own unique challenge, from routine furnace tune-ups to complex HVAC diagnostics.
What We Typically Handle
Throughout a typical day, we:
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Address emergency heating and cooling repairs
• Install new HVAC systems
• Conduct air quality assessments
• Help homeowners maximize energy efficiency
Afternoon Rush
Lunch breaks are usually quick, as comfort emergencies don’t wait. The afternoon often brings urgent calls from families dealing with unexpected system failures. There’s nothing more satisfying than turning a stressful situation into a comfortable solution for our customers.
End of Day
Before heading home, I ensure all paperwork is complete and the service van is restocked for tomorrow. It’s rewarding knowing that families throughout New Lenox and the surrounding communities will sleep comfortably tonight because of our work.
The best part of working at Magtek Mechanical isn’t just fixing HVAC systems—it’s being part of a team that takes pride in providing essential comfort services to our community, one home at a time.
Remember, whether it’s the dead of winter or height of summer, we’re here to keep your indoor climate just right. Regular maintenance today prevents emergencies tomorrow!
